About 20 cm of the height is accounted for by the petioles and 25 to 30 cm by the leaves. It usually bears only a few leaves (up to 12) at a time.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe color of the leaves is unique and special. They are perhaps most reminiscent of \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.jungle-leaves.de\/produkt\/alocasia-cuprea-red-secret\/\"\u003eAlocasia cuprea\u003c\/a\u003e, but their metallic color is significantly darker and appears \"oily.\" Depending on the viewing angle, the leaves are glossy dark green to bluish or purple. Unfortunately, this is very difficult to capture in pictures. Incidentally, it is not truly \"black\" as it is depicted in many pictures. It has a dark green base tone. The undersides of the leaves are wine red.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe inflorescence is greenish-white.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eA truly beautiful species that creates an almost otherworldly look in a shaded location in a rainforest terrarium.
