The leaves, which can grow up to 1.20 metres long, are matt and velvety on the upper surface of adult plants, with numerous tiny, dot-like glands. Its growth habit (in its natural state) is strictly pendulous. The stem grows straight downwards and the leaves of adult plants also hang straight downwards. The petiole is not strong enough to support the weight of the rather thick leaf in an upright position.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe species is surprisingly hardy and easy to care for.
