There, it grows in leaf litter and humus in the Atlantic Forest of the state of Espírito Santo at an altitude of 750 m above sea level, in the Roberto Kautsky Forest, municipality of Domingos Martins. Its estimated distribution area is less than 10 km²!

It only grows to about 10 to 15 cm tall and has a creeping rhizome. The leaves are circular to kidney-shaped and are held horizontally, just above the ground. They reach a maximum size of about 10 cm, but usually remain smaller. The most striking feature is the pronounced texture of the leaves, which gives them a bubble-like appearance. The undersides of the leaves are red. All parts of the plant are covered with closely appressed, branched hairs. Over time, it grows into a bushy form with many rhizomes. It is also ideally suited for small terrariums.

The flower stalks grow to about 20 to 30 cm tall and bear several pale pink flowers.

It belongs to the section Knesebeckia .

[/expand]

[/porto_content_box]

You will receive a strong young plant in a 5cm pot (see example in pictures no. 4 and 5).
