The leaves remain tiny, measuring approximately 1.5 to 3.5 cm in length and width, and are held just above the substrate. They have a velvety, shimmering surface and, in low light, exhibit a faint blue iridescence. It grows into a dense mat with numerous branches. Very large specimens can even be multi-layered.
