Over time, it grows bushy with many individual stems, which sometimes grow along the ground instead of upright. The leaves are 10 to 15 cm long and oblong with serrated edges. Their most striking feature is the light, sharply defined spots on a dark green to bluish background. New leaves appear reddish and then darken.
