The lateral petals are elongated into long threads, which can reach up to 5 cm in length! The flower lasts approximately 2 to 3 weeks.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eEach individual leaf lasts for about six months, then the dry season begins in nature and the plant retreats into its tuber.
