The buoyant fruits often drift on the water for some time after ripening before germinating elsewhere. However, they retain their viability for only a few weeks and only as long as they do not dry out in the meantime.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eWe haven't yet tested the maximum salinity at which the white mangrove will continue to grow without problems.
