At the tip of each pseudobulb is a single, tapering, thickened, round leaf which grows elongated and curved in low light, but shorter, thicker and straighter in bright light. It is only in bright light that the leaves develop an attractive red speckling.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe leaves grow to a length of about 3 to 8 cm. In bright light, they remain significantly more compact. It remains more compact and is not quite as heat-loving as its close relative \u003ci\u003eLeptotes bicolor\u003c\/i\u003e, which we also offer.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe flowers, which are surprisingly large for such small plants, range from pink to lilac. In this variety, they are particularly dark in colour. They have a vanilla scent.
