The confusion with T. bipinnatifidum is somewhat puzzling, considering that the latter is not a tendril but an upright, tree-like bush with a 15cm thick trunk, thus bearing no resemblance whatsoever to the delicate, climbing \u003cem\u003eP. tortum\u003c\/em\u003e .\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e The leaves are simply pinnate and very deeply lobed, making it look almost like a fern. Practically a \"fernodendron\" ;)\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e The spaces between the leaves are quite short in this species, especially when it is climbing. The leaves can grow up to 60 cm long!\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eTo get such large leaves on your own \u003cem\u003eP. tortum\u003c\/em\u003e , two things are absolutely necessary:\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e On the one hand, the plant needs plenty of indirect light, but no direct sunlight.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e On the other hand, \u003cem\u003eP. tortum\u003c\/em\u003e needs a climbing support to which it can cling with its aerial roots.
