The leaves then emerge only after the flowering period and remain until late autumn, nourishing the pseudobulbs. From about November onward, the leaves die back, and the plant overwinters as a leafless bulb. They are not frost-hardy and should therefore be overwintered in a frost-free and dry location (e.g., in a cellar).
