It tolerates cooler temperatures well, but not frost. The fronds of \u003cem\u003eH. flexuosa,\u003c\/em\u003e at around 50 cm, are not quite as long as those of its close relatives (which can reach over 1.5 meters), but this makes it all the more attractive for terrariums.
