Description
Amydrium zippelianum is a vine from Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, and the Philippines. It grows as a hemiepiphytic climber in the rainforests there at altitudes of approx. 10 to 1500 m.
In nature, it can grow over 15 m tall. The simply pinnate, fern-like leaves grow up to 50 cm long!
The internodes in this species are quite short, especially when it can climb. However, if it has no substrate to climb on, often no leaves are produced at all, or only at very large intervals. They also do not grow particularly large this way.
A. zippelianum grows quite quickly with good care and forms large leaves in a short time.
You will receive an approximately 60 cm long young plant in a 17 cm pot with several vines. The ideal size to offer a climbing aid now so that the plant can start to climb!
