Description
Aneilema zebrinum is a member of the Commelinaceae family from East Africa. It is found from southwestern Ethiopia to KwaZulu-Natal. Like other, better-known members of the family (e.g., Tradescantia ), it grows as a ground cover or trailing plant. The leaves are slightly succulent and strikingly light-colored with longitudinal stripes. The species name is derived from these stripes. It grows quickly and easily in a variety of conditions, making it suitable as both a houseplant and a terrarium plant. In a terrarium, it should not be kept too moist and tolerates surprisingly high light levels! With plenty of light, it can even grow into a beautiful, compact mat.
You will receive two freshly cut cuttings. Very easy to root! Simply place the cuttings on moist (not wet) soil. Do not bury them!
