This begonia originates from northern Borneo (Sabah). There, it grows directly from almost vertical limestone cliffs in shady, damp locations. The individual leaves are 5 to 8 cm in size and slightly succulent with a light green color. It looks best when grown epiphytically or lithophytically in a terrarium, just as it grows in nature.
It blooms with small, pink flowers.
It belongs to the Baryandra section.
