Caladium (Xanthosoma) lindenii

This beautiful caladium from Colombia has some botanically very confusing characteristics, which is why it is often given different names. The currently accepted name is Caladium lindenii. Until recently, it was also known as Xanthosoma lindenii , and now there are rumors that it may soon be placed in its own genus because it doesn't fit well into either Caladium or Xanthosoma .

Be that as it may, this beautiful species with its dramatically white variegated leaves is a real eye-catcher and, like many caladiums, is well suited as a houseplant.
