Calathea majestica 'Whitestar'

Calathea majestica , which according to current taxonomy is actually Goeppertia majestica , originates from western South America. It grows in the shady undergrowth of rainforests at altitudes of 200–500 m along the foothills of the Andes. It is one of the larger members of the genus and reaches a height of approximately 80 cm with leaves 50 cm long and 15–20 cm wide. When cultivated indoors, it usually remains considerably smaller, reaching about 50 cm in height with leaves approximately 20 cm long and 10 cm wide.

The cultivar 'Whitestar' is distinguished by its extensively white leaves. The normally thin white stripes along the leaf veins are significantly wider in 'Whitestar' and sometimes merge into one another. Fresh leaves also have a hint of pink, which makes them very attractive.

You will receive one plant in a 12cm round pot. Plant height approximately 30 to 40cm.
