Cissus amazonica

This delicate vine originates from Brazil and Venezuela. As a small plant, it has elongated, pointed leaves with a very unique light green color. In larger plants, the leaves become somewhat rounder, and only the veins retain their light color. It grows significantly slower than other Cissus species and is also more delicate in structure. Therefore, it should be kept in a terrarium and not as a houseplant.

It is often offered under the name Parthenocissus amazonica , but this is definitely incorrect. The genus Parthenocissus does not occur in South America, and this plant was never placed in that genus.



You will receive a well-rooted cutting approximately 20 to 30cm long in a 7cm pot.

Please note: This plant tends to shed leaves after shipping. This is nothing to worry about and it will recover quickly.
