Jungle Leaves Moss Pole Set incl. Dropper

Climbing aid for aroids and other climbing plants with adventitious roots made of sturdy plastic, not flimsy film! Includes clips.

We chose the brown color because it most closely resembles aged sphagnum and older stems of Philodendron, Monstera, etc. Once the moss pole is established, it is less conspicuous than, for example, black poles.

This set consists of two modules with a diameter of 6 cm and a length of 37 cm each, which are filled with Sphagnum moss. Also included are 3 support stakes, each 10cm long. One of our 5-liter Sphagnum bags is enough to fill the moss pole. We recommend a 1:1 mixture of sphagnum and coco chips for filling.

In contrast to coir poles, the roots can not only grow along the surface, but utilize the entire volume of the pole. Sphagnum also stays moist significantly longer and is therefore ideally suited for more sensitive plants that require a permanently moist substrate to form aerial roots. Each set includes an adjustable dripper for slow and even watering.

We recommend moss poles especially for velvety-leaved Philodendron (e.g. melanochrysum, gigas, esmeraldense, patriciae), rare Scindapsus, Piper, climbing ferns (e.g. Pyrrosia, Polypodium), climbing Selaginella (e.g. willdenowii, megalura) and other more sensitive plants that form adventitious aerial roots (e.g. Anthurium, Hoya, Bulbophyllum).

This moss pole also offers an advantage for plants that do not require a permanently moist substrate (e.g., most Monstera, Scindapsus, and Philodendron): Due to the vigorous root growth in the pole, you can easily cut already rooted cuttings without having to air layer them separately!

For a stable stand with taller poles, this can also be firmly attached to the pot.
