Jungle Wall Mix - Modeling clay for terrariums

Modeling clay for terrarium backgrounds. This modeling clay consists of a coconut binder mixture, which we also use for our Jungle Wall backgrounds.

Unlike other modeling clays for terrariums, the Jungle Wall Mix creates an absorbent and water-retaining background that has similar properties to tree fern (Xaxim). Jungle Wall Mix is therefore particularly well suited for humid terrariums and paludariums and offers tropical plants an ideal substrate. Climbing plants, vines, ferns, begonias, and mosses that require constant moisture for good growth thrive particularly well on a Jungle Wall Mix background. It also looks particularly natural and is more sustainable than Xaxim.

Application:
Jungle Wall Mix is delivered ready-to-use and can be applied directly to a prepared terrarium background (e.g., made of Scaping-Foam). Jungle Wall Mix should be applied thinly (0.5 - 1 cm) and pressed firmly. For better adhesion, the surface can be lightly roughened or provided with small holes. It is best to lay terrariums on their back to apply Jungle Wall Mix to the background. For the most natural look, the surface can be covered with Xaximstreu after application. Allow Jungle Wall Mix to dry completely! The thicker the mix is applied, the longer the drying takes. We recommend at least 7-14 days drying time! After drying, Jungle Wall Mix is free of any solvents or other chemical residues and is therefore harmless to terrarium animals. Jungle Wall Mix contains no biocides.
