Description
Lepismium monacanthum (Syn. Rhipsalis monacantha ) comes from southern Bolivia and northern Argentina and is best known for its bright orange flowers and berries.
It has two-edged shoots approximately 2 to 3 cm wide and up to 3 m long, covered with regular spines. In nature, this cactus grows epiphytically, meaning it grows on and around trees in tropical forests. These areas have a humid and warm climate.
The flowers are small, orange, and appear in great numbers from spring to summer. They develop into very attractive, also orange, berries, which turn more pinkish when ripe.
Shipped in a 14 cm hanging pot. XL plant, at least 50 cm long.
