Description
Philodendron scandens is an uncomplicated and easy-care plant for almost any location and, similar to the popular Pothos (Epipremnum aureum), copes well with low light and drought. 'Brazil' is a cultivar of the classic P. scandens with variegated leaves that can have very different patterns.
This species originally comes from Central and South America, where it is widespread in tropical areas. P. scandens grows as a vine up trees, and this should be imitated at home, for example by using a "moss pole". However, it can also be cared for as a hanging plant in a hanging basket.
Furthermore, this Philodendron probably bears the most foolish common name of all philodendrons. Why precisely this species is called "Climbing Philodendron", when this genus with almost 500 species contains almost exclusively climbing species, has never been clear to us...
You will receive a multi-stemmed plant in a 12cm pot. The vines are usually at least approx. 15 cm long.
