This Selaginella originates from Borneo. We haven't yet been able to identify the species. However, we will add it here and update the text as soon as we know more.
It grows upright or climbing, similar to Selaginella willdenowii , but the side branches remain significantly smaller and the microphylls ("leaves") are more densely packed. Overall, it has a more compact growth habit than the very sprawling S. willdenowii and is therefore well-suited for smaller terrariums. However, it still grows quite large if it has a place to climb. Like all climbing Selaginella species , Selaginella sp. Borneo can also be easily pruned.
The iridescence is incredibly pronounced and, in larger plants, displays a splendor that is unparalleled even compared to other Selaginella species . The color is more of a light blue to turquoise, rather than the dark blue of other species. In contrast to the blue fronds are the yellowish-green growth tips and the light green stems.
This species grows quite quickly and is not complicated to care for if it is grown in a sufficiently warm and humid tropical terrarium.

You will receive a plant in a 7cm pot, approximately 10cm tall (3rd picture in the gallery).
Please note: The small twigs of this species break very easily. Even with very good packaging, some pieces will likely break off after shipping. Unfortunately, this cannot be prevented, but it doesn't significantly harm the plant. After an acclimatization period, this species continues to grow quite quickly. Such damage is not grounds for a complaint.
