Description
Sonerila margaritacea is a small member of the Melastomataceae family from Myanmar, growing to only about 15 cm tall. Its small leaves are beautifully speckled with white and exhibit a faint bluish iridescence in low light. The undersides of the leaves also display attractive red and green markings. It produces surprisingly large, pink flowers with three petals.
Identification down to the species level is not entirely certain. This plant is also traded as Sonerila sp. 'Glowing dots' and as Sonerila maculata .
Over time, it branches out and forms a small, dense bush.
You will receive a young plant, approximately 5 to 8cm tall in a 5.5cm pot.
