Description
Syngonium podophyllum originates from South and Central America, but has since naturalized and become naturalized in the tropics of the Old World (Asia, Africa). It is extremely robust and therefore also an easy-to-care-for houseplant. As a young plant, it forms a dense bush that regularly produces leafless runners, similar to strawberries. Once it reaches a certain size, it begins to climb, and the shape of the leaves changes to a more deeply lobed form. The species name " podophyllum " translates to "foot leaf" and refers to the shape of the mature leaves.
'Green Splash' is a smaller cultivar of this species with striking two-tone green variegation. In bright light, the leaves also take on a slightly pinkish hue. This cultivar forms a rather compact bush. A notable feature is that the leaves are convex and curved upwards, and are tougher and more robust than those of other Syngonium cultivars.
You will receive a strong plant in a 12cm round pot.
