Description
Syngonium podophyllum originates from South and Central America, but has since naturalized and become naturalized in the tropics of the Old World (Asia, Africa). It is extremely robust and therefore also an easy-to-care-for houseplant. As a young plant, it forms a dense bush that regularly produces leafless runners, similar to strawberries. Once it reaches a certain size, it begins to climb, and the shape of the leaves changes to a more deeply lobed form. The species name " podophyllum " translates to "foot leaf" and refers to the shape of the mature leaves.
'Milk Confetti' is a smaller cultivar of this species (approximately 22cm tall, 30cm wide) with strikingly light-colored leaves speckled with pink. Later (or in low light), the leaves also take on a slightly greenish hue. This cultivar develops the typical trifoliate leaves of the mature plant very late and, when grown indoors, always retains its colorful, juvenile leaf shape.
In 'Milk Confetti', the leaf sheaths are marked like the leaves themselves, i.e. mainly white or light with pink dots or stripes.
You will receive a strong plant in a 12cm round pot.
