Vriesea correia-araujoi

Vriesea correia-araujoi (also listed as Vriesea correia-arauji in some databases, without the "o") originates from a very small area in southeastern Brazil. It is one of the smallest of all Vriesea species , reaching only about 15 cm in height and width when fully grown. It has thin, long leaves and its appearance is more reminiscent of a Tillandsia than a typical Vriesea . It produces large, bright red inflorescences from which white, tubular flowers emerge. Like other Vriesea species, it produces keikis (plantlets) shortly before or after flowering, from which new plants develop. This species produces a particularly large number of keikis, thus growing from a single plant into a dense clump of many plants over time.

You will receive a mature plant in a 5cm round pot. Perfect for mounting or planting in a terrarium.
