Description
This plant goes by many names because its exact nature is unknown. It's sold as Ardisia or Labisia and often labeled "Borneo Black," "Round Leaf," or sp. Mangkuk or sp. Sabilit. Sometimes, similar but likely different species are given the same names. We will update this text when we have more information!
As its name suggests, this plant is a real eye-catcher in the terrarium. The round, somewhat cup-shaped leaves grow to about 8 cm long and wide and display different colors depending on growing conditions. They shimmer with a metallic sheen, ranging from copper to black. Like many small Ardisia and Labisia species , this plant grows very slowly and is therefore often illegally poached for sale, as propagation takes "too long".
From us you will of course receive locally propagated plants that have not been stolen from nature!
You will receive a strong young plant in a 5.5cm round pot.
