Description
This sundew originates from a small distribution area along the coast of South Africa.
Drosera aliciae is a rather small sundew that grows as a ground-hugging rosette about 5 cm in diameter. In bright light, the entire plant takes on a reddish hue. The very densely packed tentacles are also particularly striking. Drosera aliciae produces very pretty purple flowers on very long flower stalks.
Although it originates from South Africa , Drosera aliciae does not undergo a pronounced winter dormancy. This is likely due to its very southern distribution along the coast, which offers a subtropical climate. The plants can therefore grow year-round without a dormancy period.
