Episcia dianthiflora

Episcia dianthiflora is a small member of the Gesneriaceae family, native to southern Mexico and northwestern Colombia. It grows as a dense ground cover but can also climb on moist surfaces. Without support, it remains very low-growing, only about 5 cm tall. It has round, downy leaves with a faint reddish pattern along the veins. The large, white flowers are particularly striking. They have five petals fused at the base to form a tube, which then divides into shaggy appendages towards the top. The flowers are up to 5 cm across, significantly larger than the leaves, which are only about 3 cm long. Once established, it flowers almost continuously, sometimes producing more, sometimes fewer blooms.

It is extremely easy to care for in a terrarium and quickly forms a dense carpet.

You will receive a strong plant in a 7cm pot. Ready to flower.
