Episcia lilacina

Episcia lilacina is a small member of the Gesneriaceae family from tropical South America with highly variable leaves featuring light and dark markings. The pattern depends on environmental factors such as light exposure, nutrients, and temperature, so almost every plant looks slightly different. The leaves grow to about 15 cm in length and are also finely hairy and covered with small bumps. Upon close inspection, numerous tiny pink dots can also be seen.

Episcia lilacina blooms, as the name suggests, in purple, and is therefore one of the few Episcia species that do not have red or yellow flowers.
