Description
Ficus radicans (or more accurately , Ficus sagitata ), in a variegated form. This climbing fig originates from Southeast Asia, where it is very widespread and common. Similar to other strangler figs, it grows around a host tree with its trunks and can eventually completely envelop it. Unlike its more aggressive relatives, however, it remains more or less harmless to the host tree. The trunks do not become particularly thick and do not crush the host tree.
Its leaf shape is reminiscent of the classic weeping fig, Ficus benjamini . However, F. sagitata is a climbing plant, not an upright tree. It also looks very chic as a hanging plant in a hanging pot. This variegated form additionally features white leaf margins. Very pretty, easy to care for, and also fast-growing, especially in summer.
You will receive a plant with several tendrils in a 12cm round pot.
