Description
Guzmania 'Ice Cream' is a variegated form of Guzmania lingulata var. minor with particularly beautiful colors. It only grows to about 12 to 15 cm tall and reaches a diameter of only 20 to 30 cm. Its compact growth and beautiful, vibrant orange inflorescence make it perfect as a terrarium plant, even for small terrariums. The narrow leaves are variegated white to creamy white in the center, making it stand out even outside of the flowering season.
It can also be easily kept as a houseplant, but because of its rather thin leaves it is somewhat more sensitive to dry air, especially in winter, than other bromeliads.
