Description
Hoya carnosa is probably the most commonly cultivated waxflower. Numerous cultivars exist, such as 'albomarginata', whose leaves have variegated, white edges.
This species originally comes from a very large distribution area, ranging from Southeast Asia, India and Japan to Queensland in northern Australia.
The leaves are oval to egg-shaped, about 5 to 12 cm long and slightly succulent and thickened.
The flowers are creamy orange and grow in clusters of 16 to 30 individual blooms. They have a very pleasant fragrance and last for about 5 to 7 days.
