Description
Marcgravia sp. 'Mini Melon' is a small and unusual Marcgravia, probably from northwestern Ecuador. As a young plant, it grows tightly attached to trees, and in its juvenile form, it is significantly smaller than other Marcgravia, with delicate leaves only about 1 to 1.5 cm in size. It also doesn't seem to get larger as it climbs. It has a dark green base color and a slight iridescence, which is particularly visible in fresh leaves. Its name "Melon" refers to the slightly reddish coloring with a green edge that the leaves develop when they receive a lot of light, making them look like a halved watermelon.
In terms of care, Marcgravia are absolutely problem-free in a terrarium, as long as they are kept slightly moist.
You will receive a rooted plant in a 5.5cm pot, approx. 5 to 10 cm long.
