Description
This Neoregelia originates from the area around Domingos Martins in the state of Espírito Santo in southeastern Brazil and, as its name suggests, is one of the smallest members of its genus and one of the smallest bromeliads overall. The individual trumpet-shaped flowers only reach about 10 cm in height and grow compactly and upright with a diameter of approximately 5 to 8 cm. It blooms profusely with large, purple flowers (relative to the plant's size) and produces numerous pups on short runners, forming compact, dense clumps. In bright sunlight, it develops a lovely red striped and spotted pattern. One of the best dwarf bromeliads for tropical terrariums of any size! Individual plants or small groups fit perfectly even in small terrariums, and large, bushy specimens are impressive even in very large display terrariums.
You will receive a beautiful pup, some already with new shoots. It's best to attach it directly to a branch or similar using some sphagnum moss .
