Description
Neoregelia pauciflora originates from a small distribution area in the Brazilian state of Espírito Santo. In cultivation, it is one of the most popular species, easy to keep and propagate, and also the parent species for many popular Neoregelia hybrids.
It remains small and grows very compactly. The funnels grow to only about 10 to 15 cm high and form (with plenty of light) tight tubes of approximately 5 to 7 cm in diameter. Its markings are also well-defined only with plenty of light. It is then green with beet-red to black spots and white stripes, especially at the base. Under very bright lighting, however, it can also develop a thicker wax layer and appear powdered white overall. Its small, blue flowers, on the other hand, are rather unspectacular.
You will receive an almost fully grown plant, approximately 10 to 15 cm high.
