Description
Set of xerophytic (dryness-loving) plants for dry/desert terrariums.
This selection of plants is suitable for terrariums that are kept warm and dry. These include, for example, terrariums for bearded dragons, leopard geckos, sand boas, hognose snakes, and similar animals. Please specify in the order notes if, for example, plants with thorns or toxic sap should be avoided (e.g., for terrarium animals like bearded dragons, which may occasionally bite plants).
These succulent plants can tolerate prolonged periods of dryness, do not require high humidity, and thrive in bright light. Important : They should still not be placed directly under heat lamps or strong HQI spotlights! Additional LED lighting is significantly better suited for the long-term successful cultivation of these plants in a terrarium.
When planting in the terrarium, it's often best to leave the plants in their pots and simply place them, pot and all, into the substrate. This protects the plant roots from burrowing terrarium inhabitants and allows you to water them separately from the rest of the substrate.
