Description
A very pretty mini-Phalaenopsis with strongly variegated leaves.
The somewhat long and complicated name might require some explanation: This Phalaenopsis was bred by SOGO Orchids CO., Ltd., a globally leading nursery specializing in Phalaenopsis breeding, based in Taiwan. SOGO's ' Vivien ' series has been available since 1999. It is a complex hybrid, distinguished primarily by its small size and densely packed, pink flowers. A true mini-Phalaenopsis, it reaches a leaf span of only about 15 to 20 cm! The flowers are also only about 4 cm across. This selection from 'Vivien' is further characterized by strong and consistent variegation on the leaves. The leaf margins are always creamy white. In bright light, additional white stripes may appear!
This selection has particularly strong variegation, with approximately 50% of each leaf being variegated (high var.). Consequently, they grow more slowly than less variegated forms and require more light!
You will receive a flowering plant in a 9 cm orchid pot.
