Description
Philodendron squamiferum is a climbing philodendron species native to French Guiana, Suriname, and northern Brazil. It produces deeply lobed leaves up to about 40 cm long, borne on very striking, red, and hairy or bristly-looking petioles, hence its name. "Squamiferum" means "scale-bearing." This philodendron develops a tendril over time and climbs trees in its natural habitat.
