Schismatoglottis wallichii

Schismatoglottis wallichii is a relatively unknown Araceae with beautifully patterned leaves and a compact growth habit. It is found in the southern part of the Thai peninsula and on Sumatra and Borneo in shady, damp locations within the rainforests. It forms an underground rhizome from which new shoots emerge at short intervals, eventually creating a compact bush. The leaves grow to about 50 cm long and 15 cm wide and are finely ribbed, similar to, for example, Anthurium veitchii . The upper surface of the leaves in the form offered here is strikingly marked with two light-colored, longitudinal stripes.

S. wallichii grows to a maximum height of about 50 to 60 cm, but usually remains somewhat smaller.

You will receive a strong plant with many offshoots in a 14cm round pot.
