Strobilanthes auriculata var. dyeriana 'Persian Shield'

This truly eye-catching representative of the acanthus family (Acanthaceae) originates from Southeast Asia but has since spread as a neophyte throughout the tropics worldwide.

It is an extremely vigorous plant that, under the right conditions, quickly reaches its maximum size of approximately 1 meter in height and width, and also flowers profusely and for a long time. The bluish-violet flowers, which are also very pretty, almost pale in comparison to the extremely striking colored leaves. These, given sufficient light, are adorned on the upper side with broad, metallic purple to pink stripes. This is the most intense purple color we have ever seen in plants!

Strobilanthes are generally quite robust plants that forgive minor care mistakes and are therefore well suited for beginners.

You will receive a strong, flowering plant in a 10 to 12 cm pot, approximately 20 cm wide and tall.
