Description
Tradescantia cerinthoides originates from southeastern Brazil, where it grows as a ground cover in subtropical forests. Several cultivars exist, and 'Nanouk' is certainly one of the most popular and beautiful. It is also known as Tradescantia 'Lilac' or 'Bubblegum'. These names all refer to the same plant.
It has leaves about 5 to 10 cm long with alternating pinkish-white and green longitudinal stripes. The undersides of the leaves are at least as beautiful, shining in a vibrant bubblegum pink.
Tradescantia 'Nanouk' blooms with small, pink flowers typical of Tradescantia . It is very easy to care for and undemanding, growing without problems in almost any location.
