Description

A very small, densely growing, epiphytic orchid from Venezuela, Colombia, Western Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia, found in shaded, humid but not wet locations, at altitudes of 60 to 500 meters. It has very small, densely clustered pseudobulbs with a single, narrow, tapering leaf. Approximately 3 to 5 cm long in total. The entire orchid rarely grows larger than 10 cm.

It grows in slightly brighter conditions and prefers more humidity than other mini orchids. However, it still does not like to be constantly wet! It blooms with very small but numerous yellow flowers on short flower stalks.

One of the best and most beautiful miniature orchids for warm, humid terrariums.
