Aechmea nudicaulis 'Silver Streak'

Aechmea nudicaulis is widespread in Central and South America, where it grows as an epiphyte on trees in primary and secondary forests. Aechmea means "lance tip" and refers to its pointed, narrow leaves. The "Silver Streak" variety offered here is a particularly beautiful form with a very upright growth habit and almost entirely silver leaves with dark stripes. The leaf margins are adorned with numerous black spines. The flowers are also stunning, displaying vibrant shades of red and yellow.
