Hand-crafted, open-pored planter with a tree-trunk look. When filled with water, the water seeps outward through capillary action, keeping the planter moist. This makes it an ideal growing medium for many tropical plants that grow lithophytically or epiphytically in nature and need to remain constantly moist. No need for tedious misting! All you have to do is fill the tube.

Plants that are well-suited for placement on the outside of the watering pot include, for example, various small ferns, small orchids such as Bulbophyllum, Lepanthes, Oncidium, and others, small bromeliads, begonias, and many more. When placed in a terrarium with high humidity, it also provides an ideal substrate for moss growth.

Additionally, it cools itself through constant evaporation, creating a cooling effect. This helps when growing heat-sensitive plants, such as Dendrobium cuthbertsonii and other highland species.

Please always fill it only with low-mineral water, such as rainwater or reverse-osmosis water. Tap water contains too many minerals and causes salt crusts to form!
