Hoya obovata 'Splash'

Hoya obovata likely originated on the island of Buton, southeast of Sulawesi (Indonesia). However, its exact location and distribution area are unknown. It has also been found on surrounding islands and (probably cultivated) as far away as Laos.

It resembles Hoya kerrii but has obovate (instead of round) leaves, no hairs, and larger flowers. The leaves are thickened and succulent, and in the form offered here, they are speckled with white. In bright light, it develops more speckles, and the leaves take on a slight pinkish tinge.

Its flowers are white with a red center, and it blooms very regularly once it reaches a certain size. The flowers appear on drooping inflorescences with 15 to 20 individual blooms. They have a strong, sweet fragrance, similar to roses.



You will receive a plant in a 10.5cm pot with several shoots.
