Description
Philodendron hederaceum var. hederaceum, better known as "Philodendron micans" (which is not actually a valid name, but purely a trade name), is a small, climbing Philodendron with beautiful, velvety leaves. It makes a great impression with its numerous colors both in terrariums and on windowsills. The leaves display many different shades as they grow. They start out very light yellow to orange, then darken and can also take on a reddish color before finally turning a light, then a dark velvety green. A P. micans with leaves in all stages of development is a true riot of color!
This species originally comes from South America, where it is widespread in tropical regions. P. micans grows as a vine up trees, and this should also be imitated at home, e.g. with a so-called "moss pole". However, it can also be cultivated as a hanging plant in a hanging basket.
You will receive a plant in a 12 cm round pot.
