A very pretty micro orchid with lovely, translucent pink flowers.

This is a hybrid of Platystele caudatisepala, which is widespread in Central and South America and grows at elevations of 400 to 1,100 meters, and Platystele posadarum from Colombia.

The hybrid is characterized by rapid growth and abundant flowering. It is hardy and a great introduction to the world of true miniature orchids.

The plant itself is a true miniature orchid, growing to just 3 to 5 cm in height. The flowers are relatively large, about 3 to 5 mm. They are translucent yellowish-white with a pink center and faint pink markings.

This tiny little plant is perfect for the smallest humid terrariums and bottle gardens.
