Description
This Plectranthus is widespread, especially in tropical Africa. Plectranthus barbatus is a medium-sized Plectranthus species, reaching a height of approximately 20 to 40 cm. The leaves are downy with distinctly toothed edges and emit only a faint but pleasant fragrance. In the cultivar 'variegata', the leaves are tricolored with a white margin and light and dark green areas. This makes them very attractive even outside of the flowering season! The flowers are dark purple and borne on strong, upright inflorescences. Like all members of the mint family (Lamiaceae), they are very bee-friendly.
You will receive a strong cutting with 2-3 pairs of leaves and a leafless node for rooting. The cuttings are freshly cut and unrooted. They will root quickly in water or directly in soil. When rooting in soil, please ensure high humidity or controlled conditions.
