Description
This Plectranthus from South Africa is relatively large, reaching heights of approximately 50 cm. In its native region, this aromatic plant from the mint family (Lamiaceae) is used to season meat and other dishes. The leaves have a bittersweet, spicy flavor and a subtle fragrance. It takes its name from South Africa's largest ethnic group, the Zulu, who have long valued it as a spice.
This plant is distinguished by its long-stalked leaves. The leaf blades are obcordate with a serrated edge. The shoots grow upright but tend to flop over if they become too large. Ascending lateral shoots then develop, resulting in a low-lying, bushy growth habit in a large pot or container. The plant also produces long, almost endlessly growing (proliferating) inflorescences with bluish-white flowers. As with all members of the mint family (Lamiaceae), the flowers are very attractive to bees.

You will receive a strong cutting with 2-3 pairs of leaves and a leafless node for rooting. The cuttings are freshly cut and unrooted. They will root quickly in water or directly in soil. When rooting in soil, please ensure high humidity or controlled conditions.
